Mathematics is one of the basic science today that has grown very rapidly both in terms of material and its
usefulness. Therefore, the basic concepts of mathematics must be mastered by children from an early age
who are ultimately skilled and able to apply them in everyday life. The reason of the title selection in this
research is because from year to year the problems faced by students are almost the same, that is, many
students have difficulty when solving the problem on mixed count operation. By using think pair share
approach (TPS) is expected to improve student achievement grade IV SDN 2 Sidorejo in material mixed
count operations. The method in this research consists of two cycles where each cycle includes planning,
implementation stage, observation, and reflection. As for the object of research is the fourth grade students
SDN 2 Sidorejo 2015/2016 school year as many as 29 students consisting of 15 male students and 14 female
students. Based on the result of research, student participation in teaching and learning process from cycle I
is 65,51% to 86,21% in cycle II, so that obtained 20,7% increase.
