Tilapia have restrictions pretty high tolerance to various environmental conditions waters. Tilapia are still
small in general more resistant to changes in the environment compared with tilapia that are large.
Temperature is one of the technical factors that must be considered in the quality of water for cultivation or
maintenance of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The research objective was to determine the rate of growth
(weight and length) tilapia fish in different water temperatures and determine the optimal temperature range
for growing tilapia fish. The experimental design used in this study is completely randomized design (CRD)
single factor consisting of one treatment (different water temperature) with 3 levels (water temperature 28,
30, and 32 °C) on the container maintenance (aquarium) tilapia fish were repeated 3 times. The results
showed that the treatment temperature of the water container maintenance (aquarium) different (28, 30, 32
OC) to the size and age of tilapia fish uniform give a significant influence on the rate of growth (weight and
length) tilapia fish (H0 rejected and H1 accepted). Results of analysis of variance to the weight of the fish
showed F count (105.49) > F table 0,05 (5,14) and F table 0.01 (10.92). Results of analysis of variance for the
length of fish seeds indicates F count (86.14) > F table 0.05 (5.14) and 0.01 (10.92). Water quality
(temperature) on the results of this study are still in the range of eligibility for the growth and development of
tilapia fish is from 28.13 to 32.17 °C.
